The idea
The fundamental idea behind this site is to produce a loudspeaker
database. The best database. It will probably take a year or two to get to a
decent level, and quite an effort to maintain after that. We hope this site will be attractive to audio pros,
producers, software developers and DIY:ers
alike.
Loudspeaker producers
Displaying your
information here exposes it to a large number of visitors, actively
seeking loudspeaker information. The service is
free of charge. Now and in the future. We also re-distribute data to audio and loudspeaker software
developers and thereby provide another channel for you to quickly get
information out to active end users, customers, buyers, builders and
developers.
What we ask from you is that you send us your information. There are several ways to provide information,
We make an effort to develop routines that minimizes
your work input and we develop file conversion routines if required. You can
download our Excel tempalte or
Access
template. Data for smaller numbers of drivers can
easily be submitted on the Submit data page, where you can also post changes to
existing data. We are convinced it will be worth the effort.
Software developers
What is the advantage of this site to you? We offer you access to our data,
in a format suitable for you and your customers / users. We can develop the
export routines required to load the data into your software. The benefit for you
is that we do the time consuming work of collecting all the data and your
customers get the benefit of comprehensive and up to date information. As we
will focus on keeping the database up to date as new models come out, you
and your users can have continuous updates in the
future. The format we publish the data in, is by no means final. If you prefer
another structure, even binary, or other parameters, please contact us. It will cost you nothing.
Not now and not in the future.
What's in it for us?
We are not asking for donations or payments from anyone.
However, you are welcome to advertise on this site. Samples of audio hardware and software are
also welcome....
We are determined to build the best loudspeaker database on the web and
also keep it updated in the future.
